The drumming on Ground zero I think is groundbreaking, (although this technique has been shown by for example Marco Minneman)īit really sets new standards for new upcoming drummers to learn this Interdependence technique.
In Marcoīs book "Extreme Interdepedence" Virgil speaks about his thought and ideas about this "cutting edge-technique" and gives Marco credit for his book which is really great. Actually, the 2 different grooves in GZ (on leading with left hand, left foot...one with right hand, right foot) is presented in the book...although Virgil does it HIS way.
I just wanna say that I think itīs great that drummers on that high level share their knowledge to each other and not being selfish about it. I think drummers are pretty special about that...I canīt even imagine a guitarist share his latest riff or technique to one another.
Drumming brings people togheter!!!!
keep on drumming!

Hmm...actually, guitarists generally like sharing techniques, licks and riffs. There may always be some odd-ones out, but generally there's some kind of common excitement about discovering cool new tricks, I think.
Still, I do think it's a great thing that you drummers've got going here!
