Finally got the Live From Oz CD last night... and I heard my self on it!

In Atlantis part 1, you can hear a deep male voice yelling "YEAH!!!!!!!!!!" after the 2nd widdly diddly bit... that's me!

Well... I thought it was pretty cool anyway!

So do you think this would justify listing Live From Oz in the discography section of my website? ;)

So you are the asshole who ruined the CD? ;)

Just kidding...

Is that really you?

These things are always fun!
Shure You should list in on your discography, hehe ´cause then I´m on the upcoming "El-Negro" release,-singing happy birthday to him(along with 800 other drummers...) at the "Drums & Sounds 2000" Festival in Koblenz!

Good for You...that You were there!!!

LMFAO! good one smile.gif

Yeah I'm positive that it's me!

Actually I was a bit worried that I might of ruined it... cos at the time I didn't really know the songs all that well... and they did one of those bits where there's a bar (or whatever) of silence... and I started cheering thinking it was the end of the song... and then they start up again, and I turn to my friend and say "oh yeah... I forgot about that bit!"... I was literally one foot away from Derek at the time, so I was worried that that might have been picked up!

But then I remembered that that was at the first Melbourne show, not the one that they recorded for the live album. I wasn't so close to the action at the 2nd gig... although I was standing right next to Virgil's mum, which was pretty cool too!

Can't wait for the guys to come back down and play live here again!

Cheers you lot!

I personally love to hear this, especially when the band plays Atlantis....this type of reaction is expected to happen. Now if on the next album a girl would yell that out, THAT would rock!

Good job into adding early life into the never ending action on the "Live from Oz" CD!

Cheers,

Actually there was a surprising amount of ladies present at these gigs. In fact, if you listen to Atlantis - that first "WOOOOOH" you hear (just before my "YEAH!") is from my mate Christine.

I think most of the crowd was just in awe at the point. You could actually hear quite a lot of amazed laughter through all of those little bits of silence... because people just couldn't believe their eyes and ears... not that I can blame them really! heheh

That rocks, TinMan. I've often thought it'd rule to hear your own voice on a live album of a band you like.
Like on Bombay Vindaloo, on Dream Theater's Live At The Marquee. At the beginning you hear someone shouting "whhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa".
It must be funny to think "hey, that's me!!".

yep! Next time I'll do one of my trademark "OH YEAH!"s... I used to always bellow that at gigs... that would be pretty easy to recognise I think...

So look out for that on Live From Oz part 2! ;)
