Lars Eric Mattson and Lion Music (www.lionmusic.com) just re-released in Europe, Tony MacAlpine's "Violent Machine" cd. Check it out. It comes with a new artwork.
Moreover, on the 24th of May, "Live Insanity" will be re-released too, coming also with a new artwork + photos from the tour that took place back then.
You can check the covers at the label's site.
The sound in "Violent Machine" is exactly the same, the album is not remixed or re-mastered.

Do you know if either album contains bonus tracks previously unavailable on the original releases?

NO BONUS TRACKS INCLUDED. Only the artwork differs. Both cd's come with a NEW designed cover and artwork, that's all. The songs are the same, the sound is exactly the same. The Japanese bonus tracks of "Violent Machine" are NOT included too. The songs included in "Violent Machine" are exactly the same with the ones included in the original version of the album.

Ususally when albums are re-released, they contain extra tracks, artwork, remastered work etc. Examples are the re-releases of Operation:Livecrime and the slew of Yngwie albums that were released on Spitfire a few years back (7th Sign, Magnum Opus, etc).

I agree with you but you must have in mind that this cd has been really hard to find and there are many fans all over the world who ignore it. Personally i support Lion Music for its action. I had a really hard time to get it you know when it was officialy and initially released.

Believe me, I know how hard it was to find Violent Machines and Live Insanity on initial release. Am I happy that Lion Music is re-releasing them? Hell yeah! smile.gif

It's cool even without the extra tracks. I didnt have Live Insanity, now I get to complete the collection.
